Good to know

Do I need Wi-Fi or an account?

No. The lamp talks to your phone directly over Bluetooth. There is nothing to sign up for.

Does it work without the phone?

Yes. Effects and playlists are stored on the lamp. Once set up, it plays on its own.

Can I make my own effects?

Yes. Effects are open-source C programs compiled to WebAssembly; the browser simulator lets you test one before sending it to the lamp.

Is it bright enough to read by?

Set to white at full brightness it lights a desk comfortably. Most of the time you will want it dimmer.
